If any organization or group referred in the TPN operates outside the Code of Conduct, please report the incident immediately.
The Standard Code of Conduct is as follows:
Compassion and Fairness: Treat all public, first responders, and IFF personnel with respect, compassion, and understanding.
Transparency and Communication: Clearly communicate with the public, affected community members, local partners and IFF headquarters with honesty and timeliness.
Quality Workmanship: If assigned to assist with rebuild or upgrade projects, ensure all construction and repair services meet the highest industry standards and comply with all applicable laws, codes, and regulations. All projects will have professional project managers and qualified personnel on site if you have questions/concerns regarding workmanship.
No Unnecessary Services: Do not recommend or perform any services beyond the approved scope of work without written approval.
Respectful Workplace: Maintain a safe and respectful work environment free from discrimination, harassment, or retaliation.
Environmental Responsibility: Minimize environmental impact during construction, repair, or event/fundraising activities and promote sustainable practices where possible.
Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of all client and IFF information obtained during the course of volunteering.
Conflict of Interest:
Avoid situations that create a conflict of interest between your personal interests and your IFF representation.
IFF volunteers and local leaders representing the organization are expected to adhere to the following guidelines to maintain a clear separation as IFF representatives:
Prioritize IFF's Mission: Local Leaders/Volunteers should always prioritize the needs of the community and IFF's mission over any and all personal interests.
Avoid Self-Promotion: Local Leaders/Volunteers should not use their involvement with IFF to promote their own interest.
Refrain from Solicitation: Local Leaders/Volunteers should not solicit business from IFF clients or community members while representing IFF outside vetted and authorized organizations within the Trusted Partner Network. IFF responds to vulnerable, high risk communities; IFF shall remain a trusted resource for all communities affected by disaster.
