IFF Trusted Partner Network: Licensed Resources

Selecting the right licensed resource is crucial for a successful recovery. Look for a professional, experienced, and certified in the damage sustained by your disaster (Fire, Flood, Earthquake, etc.)

Select a resource who can handle the complexities of fire-related property losses. Here are key qualifications to consider:

• Proper state and local licensing

• Workers' compensation and liability insurance

• Expertise in water damage repair, mold remediation, and smoke/soot cleanup

• Ability to provide accurate repair estimates and timelines

• Ability to procure permits in a timely manner

• Guarantee of work quality and odor removal

• Experience working with insurance companies and providing necessary claim documentation

• Provides a certificate of completion (COC) and a certificate of satisfaction (COS).

When working with a licensed resource, ensure clear communication throughout the process. If issues arise, address them promptly with the project lead.

Remember, a reputable, licensed resource will be transparent about the recovery process and will answer your questions without delay. Answers should be based on experience and reality, not your wish list.

If any licensed resource or organization is unsatisfactory, you may terminate the engagement and find another trusted resource immediately. The resource selection is always your choice, you control your recovery AT ALL TIMES.

To avoid conflicts of interest, IFF does not endorse or recommend any specific licensed resource or partner. IFF emergency response teams may refer a local Trusted Partner Network resource if a public safety hazard is identified or to provide assistance with long term recovery.
